Carlisle Housing Association is a forward thinking, community focused organisation providing affordable social homes and services to people living in Carlisle and surrounding rural areas. As part of The Riverside Group we are one of the largest Housing Associations in the country.
We are more than just a landlord for our 6,200 homes, as we work tirelessly with many organisations to enable us to realise our Vision, 'transforming lives, revitalising neighbourhoods'.
Carlisle Housing Association was established in 2002 to accept the transfer of 7,200 homes from Carlisle City Council.
Due to a high demand for housing of all types coupled with an insufficient supply of housing available, our main priority is to provide affordable social housing in the area
Our relationship with our residents is essential and we are proactively expanding our Resident Involvement focus as this underpins everything we do. Our residents have an dynamic role to play in creating a better environment for everyone.

Homes Available
Our homes are allocated through a Choice Based Lettings (CBL) system. Prospective tenants who register with us can then actively bid on properties which are advertised weekly. Giving people more choice in where they live to meet their individual needs.
