The C7 Kensington Clean Team began operation in November 2005. The team of five staff cleans up “grot spots”, maintains open spaces, responds to dumping on roads and footpaths and supports an overstretched council.
They have recently developed the following projects:
Purchasing of Eco Friendly Transport
A neighbourhood agreement with GEARS Residents Association - the first of its kind in Liverpool
Graffiti Removal (Partnership with Enterprise Liverpool)
A “Hako” machine which will enhance the City Councils - service in keeping the streets of Kensington clean.
Dog fouling project with Wardens and Liverpool City Council
Street grading
In the last 12 months the Clean Team have
Litter picked the equivalent of 556 football pitches
Removed rubbish to fill over 876 skips
