Riverside - Corporate Plan

The Corporate Plan is Riverside's highest level strategic
planning document. It sets out what we intend to achieve over the
coming three years, and what type of organisation is needed to get
there.

The plan also details Riverside's seven corporate values:

Focusing on customers
We’re one of the largest RSLs in the country, with almost 50,000 affordable homes from Carlisle to Kent, but we're nothing without our customers. Approximately 85,000 people live in a Riverside home.

Respecting the individual
We provide specialist support for over 3,000 users, from ex-service employees to rough sleepers, teenage mothers and older people.

Working together
We take a neighbourhood approach, working with the local community to establish a sustainable mix of homes. We also help our residents to tackle anti-social behaviour, including gangs, problem neighbours and fly-tipping.

Going for it and sticking with it
We invest in local organisations, funding training and development for residents, and making major environmental improvements. We fund projects ourselves and through grants from other organisations.

Communicating positively and listening to understand
Our overall customer satisfaction with services is 80%. We consult our tenants and service users continuously and also strengthen and extend the ways in which our tenants are involved.

Challenging the conventional
We’re are always looking at new ways of working, from attracting more funding through partnership work to providing local people with Home Ownership opportunities.

Maximising value, minimising waste
We tackle value at all levels, from our corporate structure to using less paper through our CSR programme. We have three ‘green lights’ from the Housing Corporation for our governance, management and development work, and a rating of two stars, with promising prospects, from the Audit Commission.
