The Mersey South division is responsible for the management of 8200 properties in five local authority areas including:

• Halton – dominated by four estates built in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s transferred from Warrington Runcorn New town Development Corporation in 1989 and comprising of flats, houses and bungalows with some older terraced property
• Wirral – a mixture of house types but dominated by older Victorian terraced properties and houses in multiple occupation. Some new build developments.
• South Liverpool– similar profile to Wirral
• Ellesmere Port and Neston – mainly new build family housing
• Cheshire/Vale Royal – a scattered base of mainly new build houses
• Lee Valley – Liverpool – a former LA stock transfer estate

The Division operates from a divisional support centre located in Birkenhead, which in effect is the administrate hub of the division, responsible for strategic planning, finance and repairs administration and income collection.

Frontline neighbourhood services are delivered through a number of Neighbourhood offices which are located close to the majority of our tenants and customers for ease of access. The Neighbourhood office is where all customer facing services are delivered from including, Estate and Tenancy Management, Allocations and lettings, Tenant Participation, involvement and community investment. Neighbourhood Offices are located in:

• Birkenhead
• Halton Brook
• South Liverpool
• Lee Valley

Finding a home

As we work across a number of local authority boundaries in Bridge Division, we operate a number of different allocations systems which are dependent on where you wish to live. Riverside is committed to the principle of choice-based lettings and has its own bespoke system.

However, in some areas we are partners in area-based schemes where we work collectively with the local authority and other housing associations to advertise properties for that area.
